South Africa Day is aimed at inspiring the people of South Africa towards achieving the following:
- Celebrating South Africa, its people, its achievements and its possibilities.
- Supporting initiatives that will instill pride and a reason to believe in South Africa.
- Promoting national pride and national unity.
- Encouraging the people of South Africa and the country to work towards achieving greatness and exceed the bounds of the possible.
- Becoming positive ambassadors for the country and our communities.
- Creating, developing and supporting various platforms that improve our image as South Africa.
- Building a South African identity that South Africans can be proud of, and that would define who they are as a people or nation that they can aspire to become.
- Nation-building through:
- Active citizenship in community upliftment in partnership with business and community organisations.
- Promoting and building relationships that embrace inclusiveness and diversity.
- Encouraging participation of community members to contribute to the improvement of their own communities through events, activities and programmes.
- Empowerment through voluntary participation in community improvement.
- Encouraging constructive dialogue about critical issues affecting our nation.
